Blue Drinks, The Hague edition participants

Date/ time: 13 March 18:00-22:00
Location: Cortenaer, 2518 AX The Hague

From 12-14 March the WASH systems symposium: All Systems Go! will take place in the Fokker Terminal of the Hague, the Netherlands. The symposium consists of a 3-day programme dedicated to strengthening Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) systems. When the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals were adopted in 2015, all countries and stakeholders set out an ambitious agenda envisaging a world free of poverty, hunger, disease and want. A world where all life can thrive and where no one is left behind. The targets of SDG6, universal sustainable WASH services, ecosystems, and cooperative use of water resources can only be achieved when we all work together.

On the evening of 13th March, IRC and the International Water Association (IWA) will host the 6th Blue Drinks The Hague event, a parallel networking event on young water leaders’ participation in achieving SDG 6. This event will be a side-event during the three days of the WASH symposium and builds on a series of events that have been hosted by Angela Huston, IRC and Lisa Andrews, IWA, titled Blue Drinks The Hague.

Tentative Agenda
18:00 - Doors Open - Networking for Attendees
19:30 - Introductions to Blue Drinks, Lisa Andrews, IWA and Angela Huston, IRC

20:05 - 22:00 - Network with young water leaders and be empowered!

Details
We invite attendees from the symposium and the general public to attend this 6th Blue Drinks The Hague event. Professionals from and beyond the water and sanitation sector who are interested to engage, to provoke, and to collaborate on this topic are welcome to join this event. Students, young professionals and youth organisations are especially encouraged to attend the network event and be part of the conversation, as well as senior professionals to work with and empower their younger counterparts to become the leaders of today and tomorrow.

The event will be taking place at the Cortenaer (Kortenaerkade 1) in The Hague. The tentative programme of the networking evening is primarily to offer informal time with prompts for dialogue on the topic of the event and 2 speakers for 10 minutes each to stimulate discussion on the theme.

We look forward to seeing you there!
