The inventory served as a basis to develop tools and training materials on the theme. Field technicians have been trained in the use of these tools. As a result of this pilot project a conceptual document has been developed, as well as a field note on MUS and a manual for planning and implementation of multiple use projects.

Another important achievement of the work by the thematic group is that the MUS approach has been included in the rural infrastructure programme (PIR) of FHIS, the Honduran Social Investment Fund. An article on this can be found below.

Currently the thematic group is coordinated by FHIS and counts with members from the Honduran water and sanitation utility (SANAA), the Honduran Association of Water Boards (AHJASA), the regulator of water and sanitation services (ERSAPS), the national supervisory board for water and sanitation (CONASA), CARE and the Peace Corps.
