WASH Resource Centres and their associated networks offer independent information products and services to a range of institutions and promote knowledge sharing and information management. These services aim to make information and knowledge accessible to a range of actors and support them to address sector needs.

IRC supports WASH Resource Centres and their networks (RCNs) in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Honduras, Nepal and Uganda. Using Reflexive Monitoring in Action, a methodology developed by the Wageningen University and the University of Amsterdam, we have collected evidence on how Resource Centre Networks promote and support learning and change in the WASH sectors. We have also identified lessons on what works and what challenges exist.

Information products include websites and newsletters, ‘blue pages’ listing the key players and Frequently Asked Questions. Services include a helpdesk and facilitation and documentation of sector events or learning processes.

This is one out of a series of video interviews with the coordinators of the Resource Centre Networks in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Honduras, Nepal and Uganda.
