Officially launched in 2011, SIASAR (Rural Water and Sanitation Information System) is an innovative information management and decision support system with a strong focus on sustainability that aims to support a comprehensive management approach to rural WSS service delivery. SIASAR addresses the challenges faced by the sector and promotes the long-term sustainability of rural WSS services by responding to the general lack of up-to date information, generating important information, evaluating the performance of service providers, and improving the overall effectiveness of technical assistance.
