In association with the All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) and the Centre of Excellence for Change Management (CEC), the IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre is organising a one-day Roundtable dedicated to the theme Sustainable Drinking Water Services at Scale: Everyone Forever.
Published on: 26/02/2013
IRC brings in its regional and global WASH sector experience of more than four decades, in particular from the Triple-S (Sustainable Services at Scale) initiative and the WASHCost programme, which introduced a life‐cycle costs approach (LCCA).
The Roundtable will review a series of innovative think pieces, policy briefs developed by national experts and a discussion note on key WASH sector challenges to sustainability in India.
Mr. Pankaj Jain IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India (GoI), will inaugurate the Roundtable, which will be presided over by Dr. Mihir Shaw, Member Planning Commission, GoI. Roundtable participants include key high level sector stakeholders representing national and state governments, donors and multilaterals, research and capacity building institutes and the non-governmental sector.
The programme is supported jointly by IRCs Triple-S initiative and IRC’s South Asia Regional Programme.
