Abstract |
During 2003, UNICEF/Nepal, with the support of both EHP and The World Bank, successfully completed the first phase of the Nepal Handwashing with Soap Initiative. In this review of the planning stage, all steps defined for the implementation of phase 1 are presented, from the request for proposals for research firms, the selection of a qualified research firm, securing the interest of leading soap manufacturers, formative and baseline research, draft marketing strategy, to the the selection of an advertising agency. Public or private sector organisations interested in initiating a PPP in their country are free to use these planning tools and/or to adapt them. More information on PPP initiatives |
