Abstract | In this second episode of IRC's podcast series WASH Talk, host Jeroen Westerbeek and co-host Catarina Fonseca talk with Bill Kingdom and Fred Muhumuza about the challenges around financing water and sanitation services, cost and finance frameworks, and the importance of public finance in reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Bill Kingdom is the Global Lead for Water Supply and Sanitation in the Water Global Practice of the World Bank. He has worked extensively in South and East Asia on urban and rural water supply and sanitation investment projects. He led the creation of IBNET which is now the world's largest performance database of water utilities. Fred Muhumuza is a Development Economist and Political Analyst and used to work for the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Uganda. |
