Abstract | The Three Districts Water Supply Scheme (3-DWSS) is one of the peculiar small towns‟ water supply schemes constructed in Ghana. It is presently the biggest small town water supply scheme in Ghana, serving over 129 communities and 18 institutions in three Districts, namely: the Dangme East and Dangme West Districts in the Greater Accra Region; and the North Tongu District in the Volta Region. The total number of people currently served with water from the scheme is 115, 0922, representing 36 percent of the year 2000 total population of the three Districts. [authors abstract] |
