Abstract

This article provides an overview of funding sources available to small public water systems in the United States in order to comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SWDA). The funding options include loans and grants from federal and state agencies, banks, and foundations. These data have been computerized and are available from the National Drinking Water Clearinghouse and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) small systems group.
