Abstract

This Handbook has a dual purpose : to serve as a support for the outreach worker during her or his training, and as a resource during the outreach worker’s activities in the community. The outreach worker’s handbook has been developed with one primary audience in mind: the outreach worker. Other audiences might include program managers and trainers as well as other interested parties involved in the improvement of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions, either as part of their official mandate or because of their desire to incorporate WASH activities into an ongoing program or project.
